Mass, Volume Density: Interactive Quick Lab

Mass, Volume Density: Interactive Quick Lab

Description:This is an excel worksheet that has students measure mass with a balance an enter the data into the worksheet. Students are then directed to calculate the volume of 2 objects using water displacement and enter the data into the worksheet. Students enter the starting volume of water in the graduated cylinder. Then they enter the volume in the graduated cylinder after placing the object in the cylinder. The worksheet calculates the difference resulting in the volume of the object. The density column automatically calculates the objects density by dividing mass by volume. The process is repaeted for two rectagular shaped objects and the measurements of the dimensions of the object are used to calculate volume. There are two working links provided for practice in measuring mass and volume.
