States of Matter — Description:This brief Powerpoint is a nice introduction to each state of matter. It defines the three basic types of matter; solid, liquid, and gas. Plasma is not mentioned as this is designed for grades 3-5. This could be used for concept mapping. A suggested activity to be used in conjunction with this PPT is have students identify as many examples of matter for each of the states.
