Description: Maryland XII Pence (XII Pence) Maryland Colony coin from 1659. Obverse has an image of Lord Baltimore surrounded by the inscription - +CAECILIVS:DNS:TERRAE-MARIAE:&CT. The reverse shows the Baltimore family shield, the denomination in roman numerals to either side of the shield. The inscription surrounding the image - CRESCITE:ET:MVLTIPLICAMINI. This coin was also struck in copper.
