Description: Solomon Van Vechten Van Rensselaer (August 6, 1774 – April 23, 1852) was an United States Representative from the state of New York, a lieutenant colonel during the War of 1812, and a postmaster. He was the son of Jeremiah Van Rensselaer and nephew of Killian Van Rensselaer, who were also Representatives.
