Description: Bacharach, one of the most picturesque of all the old towns of Germany. The town of Bacharach has a curious medley of houses with fantastic turrets, preposterous facades, impossible gables,-heavy beams designing arabesque on the outside of some of these edifices, chimneys in the shape of tiaras and crowns, an extravagant weathercocks made of Gothic letters out of old manuscripts.
