Description: A Divided Highway symbol sign should be used on the approaches to a section of highway (not an intersection or junction) where the opposing flows of traffic are separated by a median or other physical barrier. The word message DIVIDED HIGHWAY or DIVIDED ROAD sign may be used as an alternate to the symbol sign.
