Gunner's Calipers

Gunner's Calipers, Old State House, Boston, Massachusetts. Also known as a "gunner's quadrant," this versatile tool could be used to measure the size of a cannonball, to measure the size of a gun barrel, as a ruler, and also a protractor. This set was made by Paul Revere and used during the Revolutionary War.
