The Muñoz Rivera mausoleum is framed within the entrance gate to the family cemetery in Barranquitas, PR. Luis Muñoz Rivera was an advocate for Puerto Rican autonomy and served as Resident Commissioner to the U.S. House of Representatives. He was largely responsible for the Jones Act, which granted U.S. citizenship to Puerto Ricans.
