Polished Vases

Polished Vases

Red polished ware was made in a variety of shapes, with a wide range of decoration. These pots, on display at the Smithsonian American Museum of Natural History, come from the collection of General L. P. Cesnola, who popularized the archeology of Cyprus in the mid-nineteenth century.
