Scopes Trial Artifacts

Scopes Trial Artifacts

Two objects from the Scopes Trial: a copy of "A Civic Biology Presented in Problems" by George William Hunter, the textbook at issue, and an old radio microphone used to broadcast the trial. Because the courthouse could not accommodate all who wished to view it, it was broadcast on loudspeakers at five locations around Dayton.
