The Roman Army Forages, Takes a Large Fortification, and Accepts the Surrender of the Dacians

The lower spiral, in this image, shows the rest of panel eighty-three, panel eighty-four, and panel eighty-five. In these panels, the Roman army forages for supplies, and provisions a nearby fortification.

The middle spiral, in this image, shows most of panel eighty-nine. This panel shows Trajan attacking one of the primary Dacian fortifications. The Dacians hold their fortress with great tenacity, but eventually the stronghold is taken.

The upper spiral, in this image, the rest of panel ninety-three. The Dacians continue to beg for mercy. Some of the Dacian leadership choose to sacrifice themselves.
