Multiple tracks are offered to meet the interest and skill levels of educators.
The Florida Digital Educator Integrating Technology track is for educators who desire an overview of digital tools and how they can be integrated into all subject areas. This track will explore digital storytelling with video, enhancing understanding and meaning through audio, images and their impact on cognition, podcasting as an engaging tool that strengthen learning, plus subject specific sessions. Participants will learn to use digital tools and put their new skills to work as they develop collaborative projects with a team of educators. This track is for all EETT Grant recipients unless they have attended this session previously.
Software Specifications for Laptops
Using Adobe Fireworks, participants will learn to create, modify, and optimize a variety of digital images for use in web sites. Adobe Dreamweaver sessions will cover the basics of the interface, site management, page structure, multimedia and CSS. Participants will create a basic electronic portfolio.
(This is an advanced course and participants should have a good foundation in computer use)
The Teaching and Learning Institutes meet for four days (32 hours), Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cost $500 per participant.
