Tracks

Multiple tracks are offered to meet the interest and skill levels of educators.

Florida Digital Educator - Integrating Technology

The Florida Digital Educator Integrating Technology track is for educators who desire an overview of digital tools and how they can be integrated into all subject areas. This track will explore digital storytelling with video, enhancing understanding and meaning through audio, images and their impact on cognition, podcasting as an engaging tool that strengthen learning, plus subject specific sessions. Participants will learn to use digital tools and put their new skills to work as they develop collaborative projects with a team of educators. This track is for all EETT Grant recipients unless they have attended this session previously.

Software Specifications for Laptops

Digital Photography, Design and Photoshop CS3 - (25 Seats Available)

Participants in this track will learn the Adobe Photoshop workspace, basic photo corrections, retouching, layers, masks, channels, typography and vector drawing techniques. Other sessions will include photo composition, organizing your photos with metatags, color correction, developing and exporting in Adobe Lightroom.
(This is an advanced course and participants should have a good foundation in computer use)

Digital Music Composition - (25 Seats Available)

Basic music composition with Music Software will be the focus of this advanced track. Participants will learn methods of compiling music with software, use of prerecorded audio loops, input of original music, and blending music with other digital projects. Hardware will be provided, participants may bring their own MIDI keyboards, other instruments, and laptop computer to the session.
(This is an advanced course and participants should have a good foundation in computer use)

Cost

The Teaching and Learning Institutes meet for four days (32 hours), Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cost $500 per participant.
