As a part of the Florida Digital Educator Program, multiple Teaching & Learning Institutes will be offered in 2008. The purpose of the T&L Institutes is to provide educators with technology experiences, updates on revised Sunshine State Standards, and opportunities to participate in project-based learning and collaboration they would expect of their students in today's global economy. Teachers may attend the Institutes as workshop participants and they may choose to additionally register for graduate credit. The Institutes can count as one of four courses leading to a Florida Digital Educator Graduate Certificate.
Select Teaching & Learning Institutes during the summer of 2008 will have advanced tracks. Additional details for each locations tracks can be found below.
Open to all educators, these hands-on workshops will be held across the state throughout the summer. The Teaching and Learning Institutes meet for four days (32 hours), Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cost $500 per participant.
