Andersen’s Fairy Tales
Hans Christian Andersen
Abstract: The very vain Emperor in this fairy tale is tricked by a pair of thieves. The thieves pretend to be weavers of a cloth which can only be seen by the very wise and those who are fit for their jobs. All who are shown this wonderful cloth are afraid to admit that they cannot see it. Only a child is willing to admit that he cannot see the Emperor’s new suit.
