Students
create a slide show or Inspiration diagram depicting the differences and
similarities between slave treatment based on slave narratives.
Objectives
- Students will gather evidence using archival documents to make influences
and draw conclusions.
- Students will use multimedia to compare and contrast .
- Students will work collaboratively to present a final product.
Procedure
- Groups of students will argue house slavery vs. field slavery using research
gathered from archival documents.
- Students will compare and contrast the lives of a house slave vs a field
slave based on ex-slave narratives from the Federal Writers' Project.
- Using Inspiration and/or presentation software, groups of students will
present information regarding the treatment of slaves in Florida
