Autograph Story

Using a digital camera, students will take pictures of a famous person (a classmate) and add it to their stories about getting that person's autograph.


  • Students will write a narrative essay.
  • Students will take pictures using a digital camera.


  • Have students write a narrative essay about a time when they met a famous person (who is one of their classmates) and asked for the person's autograph.
  • Have students publish their final draft using a word processing program.
  • Have students take a picture of the "famous person" and of the person's autograph using a digital camera.
  • Download pictures and import them into each student's published story.

  • This technique can be used with any writing project. Students become motivated to write when you add the picutres.
