Procedure Movies
Use a video camera and your students' creativity to practice classroom procedures.
Objectives
- Students will practice classroom procedures.
- Students will use details to describe classroom procedures.
Procedure
- In the first days of school, have students use a video camera to record classroom procedures such as getting in line or going to lunch.
- Have students use iMovie to edit their movies.
- Discuss how sportscasters use a lot of details to describe what is going on during a game.
- Have students create an audio track for their movies where they pretend they are sportscasters describing the action in the video.

- Students could also videotape other adults around the school and describe their jobs.
- New students can watch these videos to get oriented to their new classrooms.
