Creating a Movie

Students will learn how to use multimedia tools to create and share a movie.

Objectives

  • Students will develop skills using technology software and technology equipment.
  • Students will demonstrate skills to develop a movie using Windows Movie Maker.
  • Students will use auditory, visual, and tactile skills in the movie making process.
  • Students will create and present final movie product to class.

Procedure

  • Students will learn Movie Maker Software features.
  • Students participate in hands on demonstration of integrating transitions, credit, titles, sounds, video effects and importing images into Movie Maker.
  • Divide students into groups to take images in various settings around the school with peers, teachers, and staff for importing into their movie.
  • The students use selected websites to download sounds into movie folder.
  • Students create movie using skills during performance demonstration.
  • Students will edit and view movie during the pre-production stage.
  • Students will save movie and prepare for preview of their movie.
