Creating Interactive Experiences with the iPod Tutorials

    This movie takes you step by step through the process for creating a test that can be delivered to students with special needs using the iPod. This allows these students to remain in the classroom so they can take the test with the rest of the class instead of having to be pulled out of class so they can have the test read out to them.

    This movie shows you how to purchase the iQuiz game and how to download the iQuiz Maker program. iQuiz Maker allows you to create your own quizzes for the iQuiz game, which can be purchased from the iTunes Store for 99 cents.

  • Creating a New Quiz (2m39s, 1.7 MB)
    This movie shows you how to set up a new quiz and add questions to it. iQuiz support true/false and multiple choice questions, and you can use the program to preview what the quiz will look like when it's transferred to the iPod.

    After watching this movie, you will know how to create a simple note that can be displayed on the iPod. You can have up to 1,000 notes, which are small text files that can hold up to about 1,000 words in them.

    Learn how to link two notes together using the HTML tags supported by the Notes feature of the iPod.

  • Linking to an Audio File (1m5s, 1.3 MB)
    This movie shows you how to link to an audio file in a note. You must use the name of the audio file as it is displayed on iTunes, not the file name displayed in the Finder.

  • Linking to an Image (42s, 808 KB)
    This movie shows you how to include a link to an image in a note. The iPod only supports the JPEG format.

  • Linking to a Video File (1m2s, 1.2 MB)
    This movie shows you how to link to a video file in a note. The name used in the link is the name that appears in iTunes, not the file name displayed in the Finder.

    This movie shows you how to change the preferences so that the iPod boots into "museum mode." In museum mode, only the notes are accessible when the iPod boots up.
