“Lieutenant J. H. Raymond capturing the Confederate flag from the burning Confederate steamer Fanny, at the action off Elizabeth City, N. C., February 11th, 1862. Our sketch represents Lieutenant Raymond rushing on board the Confederate steamer Fanny and carrying off, through flame and smoke, the Confederate flag which was still flying on board the vessel.
