General McGowen

“General McGowen addressing the Thirty-Fifth Abbeville (S. C.) Volunteers, in front of the Charleston Hotel. The gallant band of Confederates known as the Abbeville Volunteers was composed of a hundred of the wealthiest citizens of the district.
