A scene from the story, The Cub That Tried To Eat Tar. Johnnie Bear loved honey. You could not blame him for that. But it was not right ofhim to go to the honey jar without his mamma’s permission,- a thing which he often did. Once, when he did this, he found that his jaws stuck together, and ran crying to his mother. “Why, child,” said she, “you got into the tar by mistake.” Now he keeps away from the preserve closet.
