Louis Pasteur

A chemist and biologist, born in dole, department of Jura, France, Dec. 27, 1822; died Sept. 28, 1895. He is known most famously for his demonstrations supporting the germ theory of disease and his vaccinations, most notably the first vaccine against rabies.
