Jackson-Dickenson Duel

An illustration of the duel between General Andrew Jackson and Charles Dickenson on May 30, 1806. Dickenson shot first and hit Jackson in a rib leaving a bad, but not dangerous, wound. Jackson then shot Dickenson above the hip. The bullet passed through his body. Dickenson died that evening.
