The Cost of Progress
Students will achieve a better understanding of the costs of progress through the development of an informative website.
Objectives
- Students will be able to explain how the changing patterns of production, consumption, and labor around the world, between 1500 and 1800 CE, greatly affected the lives of ordinary women and men
Procedure
- Students will read from the following text:

- Students will reformat presentations to self-playing Quick-Time movies.
- Students will import movies into digital files for web access.
- Students will add pages to their respective websites explaining the cost of progress between 1500-1800 CE.

- Students may illustrate the cost of progress by creating political cartoons reflective of the content using applications such as AppleWorks drawing.
