Once their accounts are created they are taught how to log on and use their e-mail accounts.
Also, students are being taught letter writing skills and the use of the writing process to construct e-mails to send to peers, teachers, and pen pals that may be made through other courses.
For one particular assignment, students are to research authors using their websites found on https://teachingbooks.net/.
Students are encouraged to correspond with authors via e-mail to discuss specific works.
