The Mer de Glace

One of the best known of the European glaciers is that of Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice). It descends from the slopes of the range of Mont Blanc, and is formed by the confluence of three large glaciers: the Glacier du Geant, the Glacier de Lechaud, and the Glacier du Talefre.
