Description: Couch Grass (Triticum repens) is also referred to as Quitch Grass, Twitch Grass, Dog Grass, and Chandler Grass. Couch Grass has extensively creeping roots. A smooth, erect, round stem growing from one to two and a half feet high having five or six flat leaves with smooth, striated sheaths. The joints are smooth, the two uppermost are very remote. The leaves are dark green an acute. The upper ones are broader than the lower ones, rougher, sometimes hairy on the inner surface, smooth on the lower half. Inflorescence in spikes and flowers in June and July.
