Clipart ETC: An online service of Florida's Educational Technology Clearinghouse

Clipart ETC Grant Funding Information

Clipart ETC is an ongoing project of the Florida Center for Instructional Technology. Our funding for this project has come from several sources. We are always looking for ways to enhance this project to better serve Florida's students and teachers.

Initial funding for this project was provided as a part of a Title II-D/Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) Technical Assistance grant from the Florida Department of Education.

Additional funding for 1,000 math illustrations was provided as a part of the "Digital Math: Developing Standards for Content" project in collaboration with the School District of Gadsden County. Over 5,000 math illustrations were produced and posted to the site as a part of the Gadsden project making Clipart ETC one of the largest repositories of mathematics clipart available on the Internet.

Over 750 images of Florida flora and fauna, geologic structures, weather phenomena, and scientific instruments were added to the site as a part of a Mathematics and Science Partnerships grant entitled "Exploring Science Content: Digital Strategies for Science Teaching and Learning" in collaboration with the Union County School District and the University of Florida.

Additional content was added to Clipart ETC as a part of the ongoing Florida Digital Educator program. The purpose of the additional content was to provide copyright-free assets so that participating teachers could create their own learning objects, which could then be posted for public use. This work was supported by EETT funding in collaboration with the school districts of Collier, Columbia, Escambia, Gulf, Jackson, Lake, Madison, Marion, Okeechobee, Pinellas, Putnam, Suwannee, Taylor, and Walton Counties and the P. K. Yonge and FAMU lab schools.

Clipart additions for the 2009-2010 academic year are supported by the College of Education at the University of South Florida through the placement of Federal Work-Study students at FCIT.
