The Lower End of the Shrouds

The Lower End of the Shrouds

This is the lower of the shrouds, which are part of the standing rigging. The cordage is secured to the shroud-bound dead eyes. The "U" shaped metal pieces, that are bolted to the gunwale, are the hammock rail stanchions.
