The Transfiguration - Peter, James, and John Hide Their Faces
“While he was yet speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.” Matthew 17:5-6 ASV
Illustration of Jesus with Moses on his right and Elijah on his left. The three of them hover inside of a glowing cloud. Peter, James, and John have fallen on the ground and are shielding their faces because they are hearing the voice of God.
