The organs of touch, which are the various sensory nerve-endings in the skin or its vicinity and in mucous membranes. They include minute, primitive fibrillae or networks thereof, and certain special terminal organs, including the End-bulbs of Krause, Tactile Corpuscles, and the Pacinian Corpuscles.
