Bominaco, Oratory of San Pellegrino, Calendar, January to June
A calendar is painted on both sides of the pointed barrel vault of the choir, just above the springing of the vault. It includes figures of the months, a liturgical calendar of feasts and – in the trefoil lunettes above the feastdays – the signs of the zodiac. The months from January to June are on the north side (shown here), with the zodiac signs from Aquarius to Cancer.
