The archivolts of the Ascension portal represent a calendar in which signs of the zodiac alternate with figures representing the labors of the months. On the right side, there are the months of March (a hooded man pruning a vine) and December (a man is served by a woman at a table well-provisioned for a feast). Below them are the zodiac signs of Aquarius (the water bearer – badly damaged) and Scorpio (the scorpion). Next, a bundled and hooded figure warming himself represents February – the arched frame suggests the interior of a house; November is portrayed by a man about to kill a pig with an axe.
