This is the Abe Rubel House, at 1109 Jackson Street. The house was built in 1904. The brick house is built in a Neoclassical style, with Georgian Revival influences, which is frequently called Colonial Revival in areas where English
colonists predominated.
This photograph provides a close-up of the quoins that decorate the corners. The triple arched window appears to have wooden mullions, but the exterior is decorated with concrete surrounds. The cornice is decorated with robust modillions.Galleries:Colonial Revival, Corinth, Views of Houses, ExteriorKeywords:abe rubel house, brick house, colonial revival, corinth, georgian revival, house, mississippi, modillions, mullions, neoclassical, quions, triple arched windowPhoto Location: Corinth, MississippiPhotographer: Dr. Roy WinkelmanDate of Photo: 10/31/2011Device Make: CanonDevice Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark IIExposure Time: 0.01F Number: 22Original Dimensions: 5616×3744Picture Orientation: LandscapeGPS Coordinates: 34°56'03.32"N 88°31'20.17"WPicture Number: 20631
