A Confederate Monument in Hemming Park's Plaza — In Hemming Park, a curving walkway leads to a small plaza. In the center of the plaza a statue has been erected on a white column. A white, stone memorial provides a foundation for the column. Around the perimeter of the plaza, a number of people are seated on backed benches. Small evergreen shrubs, and palm trees dot the landscape.
