This slate, shouldered tablet headstone has suffered some damage. It appears that this headstone was decorated with a winged death's head, but the face of the stone has been damaged. This damage may have been caused by the stone spalling off, along the cleavage of a bedding plane.Galleries:Granary Burying Ground, Grave MarkersKeywords:boston, cemetery, granary burying ground, grave markers, headstones, massachusettsPhoto Location: Granary Burying Ground, Boston, MassachusettsPhotographer: Dr. Roy WinkelmanDate of Photo: 05/27/2011Device Make: CanonDevice Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark IIExposure Time: 0.008F Number: 25Original Dimensions: 5616×3744Picture Orientation: LandscapeGPS Coordinates: 42°21'26.01"N 71°03'41.99"WPicture Number: 17870
