This metal plaque is affixed to an exterior wall of poured concrete, at the Alcazar Hotel. The concrete included a mix of coquina, sand, and cement. The building was constructed, in 1888, by James A. McGuire and Joseph A. McDonald. The hotel had the same builders, and architects, as the Hotel Ponce de Leon. The hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.Galleries:Animal Patterns & Textures, St. Augustine, St. JohnsKeywords:alcazar hotel, coquina, james a mcguire, joseph a mcdonald, metal plaque, saint augustine, st. augustinePhoto Location: St. Augustine, FloridaPhotographer: Dr. Roy WinkelmanDate of Photo: 10/08/2011Device Make: CanonDevice Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark IIExposure Time: 0.0166667F Number: 4Original Dimensions: 5481×2526Picture Orientation: LandscapeGPS Coordinates: 29°53'39.35"N 81°18'47.55"WPicture Number: 18511
