A Shouldered Tablet with a Death's Head Motif

This shouldered tablet headstone is decorated with a winged death's head motif. This style of decoration was popular from the end of the 17th century, through the middle of the 18th century. The person buried in this grave is sometimes claimed to be the "real Mother Goose."
