This is a view of Fort Matanzas, as seen from the east. There is a repaired area, in the middle of the watchtower's east wall. It appears that the repairs utilized the original coquina limestone, and fresh mortar. The fort is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as Fort Matanzas National Monument.Galleries:Fort Matanzas, Forts and Fortifications, St. JohnsKeywords:coquina limestone, fort, fort matanzas, repairs, saint augustine, st augustinePhoto Location: St. Augustine, FloridaPhotographer: Dr. Roy WinkelmanDate of Photo: 11/07/2011Device Make: CanonDevice Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark IIOriginal Dimensions: 5616×3744Picture Orientation: LandscapeGPS Coordinates: 29°42'58.92"N 81°14'02.61"WPicture Number: 15017
