An etching print sitting on a screenprinting vaccum table.
These two items are from different printmaking processes. The print on the table is an etching print and the table beneath it is called a vacuum table which is used in screen printing. The vacuum table holds the paper down during the printing process so that the ink will print in flat color planes instead of sticking to the screen and warping the image.Galleries:Hillsborough, PrintmakingKeywords:print, screen, table, vacuumPhoto Location: University of South Florida Print Shop, Tampa, FLPhotographer: Dr. Roy WinkelmanDate of Photo: 03/08/2011Device Make: CanonDevice Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark IIOriginal Dimensions: 5616×3744Picture Orientation: LandscapeGPS Coordinates: 28°3'16.5269"N 82°24'49.4262"WPicture Number: 4380
