An Oblique View of the Side Elevation of the Abe Rubel House
This is the Abe Rubel House, at 1109 Jackson Street. The house was built in 1904. The brick house is built in a Neoclassical style, with Georgian Revival influences, which is frequently called Colonial Revival in areas where English
colonists predominated.
This is an oblique view of the side elevation. The corners are decorated with quoins. There are flat arches above the windows, with a single ox-eye window near the apex of the roof. The side gable has cornice returns. The cornice, gable eaves, are decorated with modillions.Galleries:Colonial Revival, Corinth, Views of Houses, ExteriorKeywords:abe rubel house, brick house, colonial revival, corinth, cornice returns, georgian revival, house, mississippi, modillions, neoclassical, quoins, side elevationPhoto Location: Corinth, MississippiPhotographer: Dr. Roy WinkelmanDate of Photo: 10/31/2011Device Make: CanonDevice Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark IIExposure Time: 0.01F Number: 20Original Dimensions: 3744×4880Picture Orientation: PortraitGPS Coordinates: 34°56'03.32"N 88°31'20.17"WPicture Number: 20630
