This is a birds' eye view of Bay Street, from the top of the Everett Hotel. There are two and three story buildings on both sides of the street. The roads do not appear to be paved, but they do seem to be graded. The St. Johns river is visible, in the distance, and to the right of the buildings. The first building, to the right, housed the offices of the Jacksonville, Tampa, and Key West Railroad, at the corner of Hogan and Bay Streets.
