Bronze Model of Castillo de San Marcos

Bronze Model of Castillo de San Marcos

This picture shows a bronze model of Castillo de San Marcos. The picture was taken from the perspective of the northeast corner of the fort. The top level of the fort is called the terreplein and contains four bastions, St. Charles, St. Augustine, St. Paul, and St. Peter. The court is located within the walls of the fort and contains a number of rooms. A moat surrounds the main walls of the fort and contains a ravelin (left side of the picture), which protects the fort's entrance. A shot furnace lies between the northeast and southeast bastions.
