The center pillar of Diwan-i-khas has a square base and an octagonal shaft, both carved with bands of geometric and floral designs, further its thirty-six serpentine brackets support a circular platform for Akbar, which is connected to each corner of the building on the first floor, by four stone walkways. It is here that Akbar had representatives of different religions discuss their faiths and gave private audience.Galleries:Columns, Fatehpur Sikri, Mughal ArchitectureKeywords:Diwan-i-khas, Fatehpur Sikri, Hall of Private Audience, central pillarPhoto Location: Agra, IndiaPhotographer: Allison PapkeDate of Photo: 01/02/2011Device Make: SONYDevice Model: NEX-3Original Dimensions: 4317×3056Picture Orientation: LandscapeGPS Coordinates: 27°05'N 77°39'EPicture Number: 11090
