This is a close-up view of the corner edge of Fort Matanzas, with the sentry box at the other end. The sentry box was rebuilt of coquina stone in 1929 after having fallen into disrepair in the 1800s. The fort is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as Fort Matanzas National Monument.
