The sink in a printmaking shop is hit with many harsh chemicals daily. In the etching process, different chemicals and acids are used on etching plates and sometimes the chemicals drip outside of the designated bins. The result of these chemicals building over times can cause a beautiful array of colors and textures to form. Here we see oranges, yellows, greens and some purple due to the chemicals reacting and oxidizing.Galleries:Hillsborough, Printmaking, Warm ColorsKeywords:acid, etching, orange, printmaking, purple, rust, sink, yellowPhoto Location: University of South Florida Print Shop, Tampa, FLPhotographer: Dr. Roy WinkelmanDate of Photo: 03/08/2011Device Make: CanonDevice Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark IIOriginal Dimensions: 5616×3744Picture Orientation: LandscapeGPS Coordinates: 28°3'16.5269"N 82°24'49.4262"WPicture Number: 4338
