Photograph of a Van Dorn sampler after it has brought up water from the Hillsborough River for testing. This device is open at both ends when lowered to the desired depth of water. The operator then drops a metal weight that travels down the line and releases the catch that snaps the ends closed. The bottle is then pulled back up and the water tested.Galleries:Hillsborough, Nature's Classroom, Water Quality Monitoring, Water Quality TestingKeywords:Hillsborough River, environmental monitoring, turbidity, van dorn sampler, water monitoring, water sample, water testingPhoto Location: Nature's Classroom, Thonotosassa, FLPhotographer: Dr. Roy WinkelmanDate of Photo: 06/27/2013Device Make: CanonDevice Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark IIExposure Time: 0.0666667F Number: 18Original Dimensions: 5616×3744Picture Orientation: LandscapeGPS Coordinates: N28°5'8.1456" W82°19'58.5034"Picture Number: 22982
