Inkwood (Exothea paniculata) Tree

Inkwood (Exothea paniculata) Tree

This tree's name may refer either to the dark berries or the sap which turns black as it dries. The edible fruits ripen during mid-summer and are just one of over thirty local species used by white-crowned pigeons as a food source.
